I’m looking forward to working with you. Find out all the information you need below.

Take the next step to improve the health of you and your family by exploring my range of services. Most appointments take place in your own home or by telehealth, so you don’t even have to get out of your pyjamas or wake the baby to attend.

My mission is to support women and children with personalised, goal focused care, based on the latest evidence available. With my dual professions of physiotherapy and lactation consultant, I offer a wide range of services tailored to your needs.

  • Woman in pink top breastfeeding a baby, both have dark hair

    Lactation Consultation

From planning to breastfeed through to weaning, I can assist you with any issues. Breast and nipple pain, difficulties attaching, supply or weight gain issues, mastitis and expressing are all common reasons to work with a lactation consultant. Lactation consults work well via telehealth, so this is a great option if you live further away.

  • Female physiotherapist showing female client a pelvis model while clients baby lies on the floor in front of them

    Women's Health Physiotherapy

Pregnancy, giving birth, going through menopause, illness or surgery can all affect your health. With a focus particularly on pelvic health, preparation for birth and rehabilitation at any stage, my extra qualifications in women’s health position me to support you in a holistic way through these changes.

  • Five month old baby in tummy time reaching for pink ball

    Children's Physiotherapy

Children can face a range of health issues that can be supported by physiotherapy. The types of conditions that I can support your family with include developmental delays, head shape issues, orthopaedic conditions and musculoskeletal issues. We can work together to create a realistic treatment plan to fit your family’s needs.

  • Female client listens as pelvic anatomy is explained with pelvis model

    Continence Physiotherapy

Issues with your bladder and bowel can occur at any age, and some issues can be greatly assisted with physiotherapy. This might include constipation and wetting for children, leaking from the bladder or bowel after giving birth or during menopause, or bladder leaking after prostate surgery for men.

  • Five year old child doing physiotherapy in four point kneeling, while toddler sibling watches

    NDIS Physiotherapy

I can provide physiotherapy services to NDIS participants who are self or plan managed. This can be for any condition across the lifespan, though my passion and skill lies in early intervention and continence services. I will liaise with your other providers, daycare, school and community to help you meet your goals.

  • Physiotherapy Babywearing Consultation

If you are wanting to use babywearing as part of your parenting tool box, perhaps as an addition to therapy for your child with special needs, or you might already have a carrier and it’s just not working, a babywearing consult will provide you with personalised trouble shooting and an opportunity to try carriers from my library.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to prepare before you come to my house?

Really nothing. If you have booked a physiotherapy appointment for an adult, we will need enough space to set up the treatment table. We can use any space you are comfortable with.

I am a mother of four and I work. My house is messy. I expect that you don’t live in a display home and would prefer you don’t expend energy on tidying up or cleaning before I come.

What usually happens at an appointment?

At your first appointment, you can expect a full history to be taken. There will be time to tell your story, and then I will ask a lot of follow up questions. I will have sent you a questionnaire before your appointment for some background to guide your first appointment. Please specify in the notes section when booking what type of physiotherapy appointment you are booking so I can send you the correct forms.

After taking the history, we will likely do some assessment, followed by making a plan based on the information we have gathered and your goals.

Expect to need to book a follow up appointment within a week or two to make sure your treatment plan is on the right track, and to make any changes needed.

Will I need a vaginal examination if I have booked a women’s health or continence physiotherapy appointment?

If you are comfortable with this type of assessment, then yes, it can often be a helpful part of putting together a treatment plan. I also have a real time ultrasound machine that can give us an idea of your pelvic floor function if you would prefer not to have a vaginal exam, and we can often put together a treatment plan based on your history alone. It’s really up to you, and is something we will discuss in detail before conducting any assessment.

Should I hold off feeding my baby if I have booked a lactation consult?

No, go ahead and feed them if they need a feed. If they are hungry as soon as I get there, we can go ahead and assess a feed straight away. If you are worried that they won’t feed well during the appointment, you can take video in the lead up to show what is normally happening during a feed. This can also be a good tool for you to use to assess changes.

Why do you ask for payment at the time of booking?

It takes time and is fiddly to set up credit card payments at each mobile appointment, so I generally do ask for payment when you make your booking. If you would prefer to pay by cash or by card at your appointment, this can be organised. Call me on 0457600089 to book an appointment rather than booking online. For all NDIS services, please get in touch to book and I will invoice following the consult.

Can I claim on private health for your services?

Yes, for all physiotherapy services. I will email you an invoice at the conclusion of your appointment for you to do this via your health fund’s app or website.

For lactation services, it depends. Incredibly disappointingly, some health funds don’t provide rebates for lactation consults at all, and others only will if the provider is also a midwife - which makes no sense to me as the IBCLC qualification is completely separate to being a midwife. Check what the situation is for your fund.
