Move away from early parenting overwhelm by connecting with other families and building knowledge about normal infant behaviour, sleep, feeding and development.
These topics are looked at through a lens of neuroprotective developmental care, which recognises parent and infant physical and mental health as being equally important. The workshops always allow plenty of time to ask the questions that you’ve been up all night Googling and still feeling none the wiser about the answer.
Facilitated by Ann, mum to four Pilbara born and bred babies, physiotherapist with an interest in women’s and infant’s health and babywearing, and an Interantional Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the dates and topics are:
6th February: Sleep 0-12 months
13th February: Feeding 0-12 months
20th February: Supporting brain development
27th February: Babywearing practical
6th March: Milestones, play and toys
Workshops run Friday mornings from 9-11am at the Child and Parent Centre, co-located with South Hedland Primary School.
The workshops are completely free for families thanks to EPIC Hedland and the Child and Parent Centre.
